        "description": "Weir\n====\nWeir is a Python API for ZFS.\n\nThe API is loosely based on libzfs, but is intended to be more Pythonic\nrather than reproducing the C API exactly.  Key differences include:\n\n- ZFS datasets are represented as objects.\n\n- ``send()`` and ``receive()`` return open files.\n\nWeir is implemented on top of the command-line ``zfs`` and ``zpool``\ncommands for portability and so as to facilitate support for remote\noperation without requiring installation on the remote host.\n\nRemote datasets can be specified with urls of the form\n``zfs://user@host/path@snapname``.\n\nInstallation\n------------\nRequires Python 2.6, 2.7 or 3.4+.\n\nTo install Weir, simply:\n\n``$ pip install weir``\n\nUsage\n-----\neg to find a filesystem's most recent snapshot:\n\n\t>>> from weir import zfs\n\t>>> zfs.open('zfs://backup.local/wanaka/test').snapshots()[-1].name\n\t'zfs://backup.local/wanaka/test@auto-2015-04-08T145240'\n\nLicense\n-------\nLicensed under the Common Development and Distribution License (CDDL).",
