        "description": "\n[![DOI](https://zenodo.org/badge/169021695.svg)](https://zenodo.org/badge/latestdoi/169021695)\n\n# visual-search-nets\n\nExperiments to measure the behavior of deep neural networks performing \na visual search task.\n\nFor some background and a summary of the results, please see [this Jupyter notebook](./docs/notebooks/results.ipynb).\n\n## Installation\nExperiments were run using Anaconda on Ubuntu 16.04.\nThe following commands were used to create the environment:\n\n```console\ntu@computi:~$ conda create -n searchnets python=3.6 numpy matplotlib imageio joblib tensorflow-gpu \ntu@computi:~$ source activate searchnets\ntu@computi:~$ git clone https://github.com/NickleDave/visual-search-nets.git\ntu@computi:~$ cd ./visual-search-nets\ntu@computi:~$ pip install .\n```\n\n## usage\nInstalling this package (by running `pip install .` in the source directory) makes it \npossible to run the experiments from the command line with the `searchnets` command, like so:\n```console\ntu@computi:~$ searchnets train config.ini\n```  \nThe command-line interface accepts arguments with the syntax `searchnets command config.ini`,  \nwhere `command` is some command to run, and `config.ini` is the name of a configuration file \nwith options that specify how the command will be executed.  \nFor details on the commands, see [this page in the docs](./docs/cli.md).\nFor details on the `config.ini` files, please see [this other page](./docs/config.ini.md).\n\n## Data\nData is deposited here:\n<https://figshare.com/articles/visual-search-nets/7688840>\n\n## Replicating experiments\nThe `Makefile` replicates the experiments.\n```console\ntu@computi:~$ make all\n```\n\n## Acknowledgements\n- Research funded by the Lifelong Learning Machines program, \nDARPA/Microsystems Technology Office, \nDARPA cooperative agreement HR0011-18-2-0019\n- David Nicholson was partially supported by the \n2017 William K. and Katherine W.
