        "description": "Tipimaid is a collection of tools to ease the handling of Apache logs. It can\r\nbe used as a piped logger for Apache and allows you to distribute log entries\r\nto different logfiles according to their virtual host information and the date\r\nand time of the request. Logging can be done either locally or over the network\r\nso that you can concentrate logs of a server farm on one logging computer.\r\n\r\nThe Tipimaid collection comprises four scripts which are:\r\n\r\n\ttipimaid.py\r\n\t\tUsed either as a piped logging tool or receives its loglines from\r\n\t\t``tipimaid_server.py``. It rotates logfiles and distributes loglines\r\n\t\tto different logfiles and is able to execute stuff when a file is rotated.\r\n\r\n\ttipimaid_sender.py\r\n\t\tUsed as a piped logging tool to send loglines across the network to\r\n\t\t``tipimaid_server.py``\r\n\r\n\ttipimaid_server.py\r\n\t\treceives loglines sent by ``tipimaid_sender.py`` or netcat_ and outputs\r\n\t\tthem to stdout where they are usually piped to ``tipimaid.py``\r\n\r\n\ttipimaid_mergelogs.py\r\n\t\tThe disaster recovery tool if something went terribly wrong during\r\n\t\tlogging over the network. It does a mergesort of several logfiles and\r\n\t\toutputs chronologically sorted loglines to stdout.\r\n\r\nChanges in 0.3 (released 2009/10/21)\r\n------------------------------------\r\n\r\nChanged exit code to 0 in ``tipimaid.py`` as well (see version 0.2 for details)\r\n\r\n.. _netcat: http://netcat.sourceforge.net/",
