This project is a part of scikit-tda.\n\n## Motivation\n\nAt SoCG 2018, there was discussion about the need for data sets for two main purposes\n- Benchmarking new algorithms\n- Demonstrating benefits of TDA\n\n## Data generation\n\nWe provide constructors for some synthetic data sets that are popular in development and testing of TDA techniques.\n\n* Torus\n* Klein Bottle\n* Swiss Roll\n\n## Setup and Usage\n\nYou can install from Pypi\n```\npip install tadasets\n```\n\nor from source\n\n```\ngit clone https://github.com/scikit-tda/tadasets\ncd tadasets\npip install -e .\n```\n\nExamples of usage is\n\n```\nimport tadasets\ndata = tadasets.sphere(n=1000, r=10)\ntadasets.plot3d(data)\n```\n\nor \n\n```\nimport tadasets\ndata = tadasets.swiss_roll(n=1000, r=10)\ntadasets.plot3d(data)\n```\n\n## Contributions\n\nThis package is in the very early stages of development.
