Raster plots and peri-stimulus time histograms aligned to stimuli and behavior provide a snapshot visual description of neural activity. Similarly, tuning curves are the most standard way to characterize how neurons encode stimuli or behavioral preferences. With increasing popularity of population recordings, maximum-likelihood decoders based on tuning models are becoming part of this standard.\n\nYet, virtually every lab relies on a set of in-house analysis scripts to go from raw data to summaries. We want to improve this status quo in order to enable easier sharing, better reproducibility and fewer bugs.\n\nSpykes is a collection of Python tools to make the visualization and analysis of neural data easy and reproducible.\n\nFor more, see the [documentation](http://kordinglab.com/spykes/getting-started.html).\n\n### Installation\n\nSpykes can be installed using\n\n```\npip install spykes\n```\n\nFor more detailed installation options, see the [documentation](http://kordinglab.com/spykes/getting-started.html#installing).\n\n### Authors\n\n- [Pavan Ramkumar](http:/github.com/pavanramkumar)\n- [Hugo Fernandes](http:/github.com/hugoguh)\n\n### Acknowledgments\n\n* [Konrad Kording](http://kordinglab.com) for funding and support\n", "description_content_type": null, "docs_url": null, "download_url": "", "downloads": { "last_day": -1, "last_month": -1, "last_week": -1 }, "home_page": "https://github.com/KordingLab/spykes.git", "keywords": "", "license": "MIT", "maintainer": "", "maintainer_email": "", "name": "spykes", "package_url": "https://pypi.org/project/spykes/", "platform": "any", "project_url": "https://pypi.org/project/spykes/", "project_urls": { "Homepage": "https://github.com/KordingLab/spykes.git" }, "release_url": "https://pypi.org/project/spykes/0.3.dev0/", "requires_dist": null, "requires_python": "", "summary": "Basic tools for neural data analysis and visualization.", "version": "0.3.dev0" }, "last_serial": 3330233, "releases": { "0.3.dev0": [ { "comment_text": "", "digests": { "md5": "0172d65ff9e0e821be12115a6537bdb5", "sha256": "e321540aab4a53b63ec7ed9cb4ddd446af624035dd49ccf5a27e93d7c23cbfe4" }, "downloads": -1, "filename": "spykes-0.3.dev0.tar.gz", "has_sig": false, "md5_digest": "0172d65ff9e0e821be12115a6537bdb5", "packagetype": "sdist", "python_version": "source", "requires_python": null, "size": 26321, "upload_time": "2017-11-14T00:38:22", "url": "https://files.pythonhosted.org/packages/56/0b/a06e96020129a8005a57e7c8521d18073cc34a3447bc1fef8074c1a65c51/spykes-0.3.dev0.tar.gz" } ] }, "urls": [ { "comment_text": "", "digests": { "md5": "0172d65ff9e0e821be12115a6537bdb5", "sha256": "e321540aab4a53b63ec7ed9cb4ddd446af624035dd49ccf5a27e93d7c23cbfe4" }, "downloads": -1, "filename": "spykes-0.3.dev0.tar.gz", "has_sig": false, "md5_digest": "0172d65ff9e0e821be12115a6537bdb5", "packagetype": "sdist", "python_version": "source", "requires_python": null, "size": 26321, "upload_time": "2017-11-14T00:38:22", "url": "https://files.pythonhosted.org/packages/56/0b/a06e96020129a8005a57e7c8521d18073cc34a3447bc1fef8074c1a65c51/spykes-0.3.dev0.tar.gz" } ] }
