        "description": "# Python wrapper for Skopeo binary\n\nThis is a Python wrapper for [Skopeo](https://github.com/containers/skopeo). Using `skopeo-bin` you can install Skopeo using Pipenv or Pip, instead of manually downloading, unzipping and building it.\n\n## Usage\n\n```sh\npipenv install skopeo-bin\n\nskopeo --version\n```\n\n## Build wheel\n\nWorks only on Mac/Linux for distributing since we need to set the execution rights of the binaries properly. Windows doesnt allow this.\n\n```sh\nbuild-wheel.sh\n```\n\n## Updating Skopeo binaries\n\nFor building the MacOS binary follow the instructions [here](https://github.com/containers/skopeo#building-without-a-container) and for Linux follow the pure-GO static binary instructions [here](https://github.com/containers/skopeo#building-in-a-container).\n\n*Note: With the current static build there is an issue on Ubuntu 18.04 as described [here](https://github.com/containers/skopeo/issues/669). To create a propper build for Linux the changes from [this](https://github.com/containers/skopeo/pull/670/files#diff-d92c0cc6cc3b84dda3c92547bcf56981R1) pull request needs to be added and the Golang version bumbed to 1.12.
