See this `tutorial\n`_ to get started.\nNumPy is the fundamental library of the scientific Python ecosystem. Using\nNumPy arrays opens up many new possibilities beyond what ROOT offers. Convert\nyour TTrees into NumPy arrays and use `SciPy `_ for\nnumerical integration and optimization, `matplotlib `_\nfor plotting, `pandas `_ for data analysis,\n`statsmodels `_ for statistical modelling,\n`scikit-learn `_ for machine learning, and perform\nquick exploratory analysis in a `Jupyter notebook `_.\n\nAt the core of root_numpy are powerful and flexible functions for converting\n`ROOT TTrees `_ into\n`structured NumPy arrays\n`_ as well as converting\nNumPy arrays back into ROOT TTrees. root_numpy can convert branches of strings\nand basic types such as bool, int, float, double, etc. as well as\nvariable-length and fixed-length multidimensional arrays and 1D or 2D vectors\nof basic types and strings. root_numpy can also create columns in the output\narray that are expressions involving the TTree branches similar to\n``TTree::Draw()``.",
