It helps researchers to structure their input data, analysis\ncode, containerised environments and computational workflows so that the\nanalysis can be instantiated and run on remote compute clouds.\n\nREANA was born to target the use case of particle physics analyses, but is\napplicable to any scientific discipline. The system paves the way towards\nreusing and reinterpreting preserved data analyses even several years after the\noriginal publication.\n\nFeatures\n--------\n\n- structure research data analysis in reusable manner\n- instantiate computational workflows on remote clouds\n- rerun analyses with modified input data, parameters or code\n- support for several compute clouds (Kubernetes/OpenStack)\n- support for several workflow specifications (CWL, Serial, Yadage)\n- support for several shared storage systems (Ceph)\n- support for several container technologies (Docker)\n\nUseful links\n------------\n\n- `REANA home page `_\n- `REANA on DockerHub `_\n- `REANA on GitHub `_\n- `REANA on ReadTheDocs `_\n- `REANA on Twitter `_\n\n\nChanges\n=======\n\nVersion 0.4.0 (2018-11-07)\n--------------------------\n\n- Uses common OpenAPI client in communications between workflow engines and job\n controller.\n- Improves AMQP re-connection handling.\n- Enhances test suite and increases code coverage.\n- Changes license to MIT.\n\nVersion 0.3.0 (2018-09-27)\n--------------------------\n\n- Introduces new Serial workflow engine for simple sequential workflow needs.\n- Enhances progress reporting for CWL, Serial and Yadage workflow engines.\n- Simplifies ``reana-client`` command set and usage scenarios.\n- Introduces multi-user capabilities with mandatory access tokens.\n- Adds support for multi-node clusters using shared CephFS volumes.\n- Adds support for Kubernetes 1.11, Minikube 0.28.2.\n- Upgrades CWL workflow engine to use latest ``cwltool`` version.\n- Fixes several bugs such as binary file download with Python 3.\n\nVersion 0.2.0 (2018-04-23)\n--------------------------\n\n- Adds support for Common Workflow Language workflows.\n- Adds support for persistent user-selected workflow names.\n- Enables file and directory input uploading using absolute paths.\n- Enriches ``reana-client`` and ``reana-cluster`` command set.\n- Reduces verbosity level for commands and improves error messages.\n\nVersion 0.1.0 (2018-01-30)\n--------------------------\n\n- Initial public release.\n\n.. admonition:: Please beware\n\n Please note that REANA is in an early alpha stage of its development. The\n developer preview releases are meant for early adopters and testers.
