The interface\nallows for data browsing and searching as well as data interaction.\n\nFor full details on fracture please see: \n\nhttps://github.com/mikemalinowski/fracture\n\n\n# Browsing\n\nqFracture displays a browsing panel which allows you to navigate data in a \nnatural way - which is particularly useful if your data is file based. \n\n![alt text](https://github.com/mikemalinowski/qfracture/blob/master/docs/qfracture_browse.png?raw=true)\n\nRight clicking a _Data Asset_ exposes the functionality bound to that data. \n\n\n# Searching\n\nWithin qFracture you can perform searches against your dataset. Fracture is \n very quick at resolving searches - so this can be a preferable mechanism\n when interacting with data if you have a reasonable idea of what you're looking\n for. \n \nWhen no search entries are present this view will show any _Data Elements_ which\nyou have marked as being favourites - allowing them to be accessed very quickly\nwith no overhead. \n\n\n# Setting up a Project\n\n\nThe qFracture UI offers a wizard to make it easy to setup a new fracture \nproject. This guides you through the process of defining the data structure \nlocation, the plugin locations and where you want to save your project file.\n\n![alt text](https://github.com/mikemalinowski/qfracture/blob/master/docs/qfracture_wizard.png?raw=true)\n\nIt will also initiate a short scan of your data location. Depending on how\nbig your data set this can take a little time. \n\nUpon completion your data set is entirely searchable.\n\n\n## System Tray\n\n\nThe qFracture Ui only performs a deep scan during the first time setup. Beyond\nthat, each location is re-scanned as you traverse those locations through the\nbrowser panel.\n\nIf you want time based scans to occur you can trigger the __System Tray__ \napplication (which is launchable from the _Settings_ tab). The system tray\nallows you to specify an interval time (in seconds), and enable or disable\ntimed scans. \n\nThis approach allows the scanning to occur in a completely different process\nto any qFracture instances which can aid performance, especially if you're \nrunning qFracture from within environments such as Maya or Max etc. \n\n\n# Collaboration\n\nI am always open to collaboration, so if you spot bugs lets me know, or if\nyou would like to contribute or get involved just shout!\n\n\n# Compatibility\n\nLaunchpad has been tested under Python 2.7 and Python 3.7 on Windows and Ubuntu.", "description_content_type": "text/markdown", "docs_url": null, "download_url": "", "downloads": { "last_day": -1, "last_month": -1, "last_week": -1 }, "home_page": "https://github.com/mikemalinowski/qfracture", "keywords": "fracture data composite qfracture", "license": "", "maintainer": "", "maintainer_email": "", "name": "qfracture", "package_url": "https://pypi.org/project/qfracture/", "platform": "", "project_url": "https://pypi.org/project/qfracture/", "project_urls": { "Homepage": "https://github.com/mikemalinowski/qfracture" }, "release_url": "https://pypi.org/project/qfracture/0.9.2/", "requires_dist": null, "requires_python": "", "summary": "qFracture is a lightweight UI atop of fracture", "version": "0.9.2" }, "last_serial": 5008092, "releases": { "0.9.1": [ { "comment_text": "", "digests": { "md5": "f15333c830cc5e7f0288bdbc8fbf272e", "sha256": "42804d9ceabdcc11cd6e6d0c2c2c8f021c87a7642b020b6d334767a55c290e49" }, "downloads": -1, "filename": "qfracture-0.9.1.tar.gz", "has_sig": false, "md5_digest": "f15333c830cc5e7f0288bdbc8fbf272e", "packagetype": "sdist", "python_version": "source", "requires_python": null, "size": 72870, "upload_time": "2019-03-30T21:55:13", "url": "https://files.pythonhosted.org/packages/1a/47/ce11d57690aa97800436d672aa2e3dcc7c1ab599c109acd4d174e27e2035/qfracture-0.9.1.tar.gz" } ], "0.9.2": [ { "comment_text": "", "digests": { "md5": "5bdb16894806b5e73b151282bf668156", "sha256": "05ff59840854de67d8047c7a962e553a027c235e40d9025dcf378e4441d85693" }, "downloads": -1, "filename": "qfracture-0.9.2.tar.gz", "has_sig": false, "md5_digest": "5bdb16894806b5e73b151282bf668156", "packagetype": "sdist", "python_version": "source", "requires_python": null, "size": 72875, "upload_time": "2019-03-30T22:39:15", "url": "https://files.pythonhosted.org/packages/ea/fe/54a865f7f5daeb0b550302b4d6b7b387ac91426a6fc53365a52953929c2b/qfracture-0.9.2.tar.gz" } ] }, "urls": [ { "comment_text": "", "digests": { "md5": "5bdb16894806b5e73b151282bf668156", "sha256": "05ff59840854de67d8047c7a962e553a027c235e40d9025dcf378e4441d85693" }, "downloads": -1, "filename": "qfracture-0.9.2.tar.gz", "has_sig": false, "md5_digest": "5bdb16894806b5e73b151282bf668156", "packagetype": "sdist", "python_version": "source", "requires_python": null, "size": 72875, "upload_time": "2019-03-30T22:39:15", "url": "https://files.pythonhosted.org/packages/ea/fe/54a865f7f5daeb0b550302b4d6b7b387ac91426a6fc53365a52953929c2b/qfracture-0.9.2.tar.gz" } ] }
