It includes full support for almost all current Password\nSafe v3 database headers and record headers. \n\nHistory\n=======\nThe library was initially written by Paulson McIntyre for\nSymantec in 2009. It was later released by Symantec under the \nGPLv2 in 2011. Changes and updates have been made since by Paulson\nMcIntyre (GpMidi), Evan Deaubl (evandeaubl), and Sean Perry (shaleh).\nRony Shapiro maintains the project page and acts as gate keeper\nfor new patches. \n\nKnown Issues\n============ \n 1. Lack of documentation\n 2. Unit tests are out-of-date\n 3. There MAY be an issue with the order that NonDefaultPrefsHeader serializes preferences for HMAC validation in pypwsafe. Although the library validates HMACs fine at the moment, so who knows. \n\nDependencies\n============\n 1. pycryptoplus\n 2. pycryptodome\n\nInstall Instructions\n====================\n\nRHEL/CentOS\n-----------\n 1. Install libmcrypt and it's dev package along with the Python dev package: \n\tyum install libmcrypt-devel libmcrypt python-devel\n\tThese packages are needed by the installer for python-mcrypt\n 2. Install the standard Linux development tools. For RHEL/CentOS 5 and 6, `yum groupinstall 'Development tools'` can be used if your YUM repos have group information. \n 3. Use Pip or easy install to install python-mcrypt, hashlib, and pycrypto\n 4. Run the setup script\n\tpython setup.py install\n 5. Test that the module loads\n\tpython -c \"import pypwsafe\"\n\nDevelopment Setup Instructions\n------------------------------\nFIXME: Fill this in\n\nFAQ\n===\n### Where can I find details on the Password Safe file format?\nThe format spec is kept in the Password Safe project's SVN repo. Go \nto the password safe code base and check in /pwsafe/pwsafe/docs/formatV3.txt.\nAs of today, it can be found [here](http://sourceforge.net/p/passwordsafe/code/5210/tree/trunk/pwsafe/pwsafe/docs/) \n\nTODO\n====\n 1. Add support for using a pure-python TwoFish algorithm if mcrypt doesn't work.\n http://code.google.com/p/python-keysafe/source/browse/crypto/twofish.py\n http://www.bjrn.se/code/twofishpy.txt \n\n\n", "description_content_type": "text/markdown", "docs_url": null, "download_url": "", "downloads": { "last_day": -1, "last_month": -1, "last_week": -1 }, "home_page": "https://github.com/voytecPL/pypwsafev3", "keywords": "", "license": "", "maintainer": "", "maintainer_email": "", "name": "pypwsafev3", "package_url": "https://pypi.org/project/pypwsafev3/", "platform": "", "project_url": "https://pypi.org/project/pypwsafev3/", "project_urls": { "Homepage": "https://github.com/voytecPL/pypwsafev3" }, "release_url": "https://pypi.org/project/pypwsafev3/0.0.3/", "requires_dist": [ "pycryptodome", "pycryptoplus" ], "requires_python": "", "summary": "A pure-Python library (based on https://github.com/ronys/pypwsafe and it's forks) that can read and write Password Safe v3 files, originally by Paulson McIntyre http://pwsafe.org", "version": "0.0.3" }, "last_serial": 4249184, "releases": { "0.0.3": [ { "comment_text": "", "digests": { "md5": "98549e19ba2e5bacc26719082d6fea2b", "sha256": "f37019a2e28bb1df31296f7dd07dbb6316793cd3cb7f0a5fc2a4a088fef243be" }, "downloads": -1, "filename": "pypwsafev3-0.0.3-py3-none-any.whl", "has_sig": false, "md5_digest": "98549e19ba2e5bacc26719082d6fea2b", "packagetype": "bdist_wheel", "python_version": "py3", "requires_python": null, "size": 35124, "upload_time": "2018-09-07T16:56:10", "url": "https://files.pythonhosted.org/packages/9b/de/7a0c71dd4daeddca74154dd509525b54b5743628729b903f630f7231dfb8/pypwsafev3-0.0.3-py3-none-any.whl" }, { "comment_text": "", "digests": { "md5": "cf29d0896a376991f6c0cdacba14a92c", "sha256": "f0a71d4f6211638f58f1489b36089830d96a599cb6dd0f8d769750f8a74a61a7" }, "downloads": -1, "filename": "pypwsafev3-0.0.3.tar.gz", "has_sig": false, "md5_digest": "cf29d0896a376991f6c0cdacba14a92c", "packagetype": "sdist", "python_version": "source", "requires_python": null, "size": 34523, "upload_time": "2018-09-07T16:56:11", "url": "https://files.pythonhosted.org/packages/76/50/523d3018065d812cb23683129c41374abe1cbf65ba4f69404e06dbaa7d9b/pypwsafev3-0.0.3.tar.gz" } ] }, "urls": [ { "comment_text": "", "digests": { "md5": "98549e19ba2e5bacc26719082d6fea2b", "sha256": "f37019a2e28bb1df31296f7dd07dbb6316793cd3cb7f0a5fc2a4a088fef243be" }, "downloads": -1, "filename": "pypwsafev3-0.0.3-py3-none-any.whl", "has_sig": false, "md5_digest": "98549e19ba2e5bacc26719082d6fea2b", "packagetype": "bdist_wheel", "python_version": "py3", "requires_python": null, "size": 35124, "upload_time": "2018-09-07T16:56:10", "url": "https://files.pythonhosted.org/packages/9b/de/7a0c71dd4daeddca74154dd509525b54b5743628729b903f630f7231dfb8/pypwsafev3-0.0.3-py3-none-any.whl" }, { "comment_text": "", "digests": { "md5": "cf29d0896a376991f6c0cdacba14a92c", "sha256": "f0a71d4f6211638f58f1489b36089830d96a599cb6dd0f8d769750f8a74a61a7" }, "downloads": -1, "filename": "pypwsafev3-0.0.3.tar.gz", "has_sig": false, "md5_digest": "cf29d0896a376991f6c0cdacba14a92c", "packagetype": "sdist", "python_version": "source", "requires_python": null, "size": 34523, "upload_time": "2018-09-07T16:56:11", "url": "https://files.pythonhosted.org/packages/76/50/523d3018065d812cb23683129c41374abe1cbf65ba4f69404e06dbaa7d9b/pypwsafev3-0.0.3.tar.gz" } ] }
