It is an ecosystem of reusable Django apps, themes, and starter project templates. \nThis collection can be found at http://pinaxproject.com.\n\nThis app was developed as part of the Pinax ecosystem but is just a Django app and can be used independently of other Pinax apps.\n\n\npinax-notifications\n--------------------\n\n``pinax-notifications`` is a user notification management app for the Django web framework. \nMany sites need to notify users when certain events have occurred and to allow\nconfigurable options as to how those notifications are to be received.\n\n\nFeatures\n---------\n\nThe project aims to provide a Django app for this sort of functionality. This\nincludes:\n\n* Submission of notification messages by other apps\n* Notification messages on signing in\n* Notification messages via email (configurable by user)\n* Ability to supply your own backends notification channels\n\n\nHistory\n---------\nThis app was originally named `django-notification` but was renamed to\nbring a common package name like `notification` under the `pinax` namespace\nto avoid conflicts with other like named packages.\n\nIn addition, we wanted to take the opportunity to rename it to the plural\nform, `notifications` to be in line with the convention we've adopted\nacross the ecosystem.\n\n\nRunning the Tests\n------------------------------------\n\n::\n\n    $ pip install detox\n    $ detox\n\n\nDocumentation\n--------------\n\nThe ``pinax-notifications`` documentation is available at https://pinax-notifications.readthedocs.org/en/latest/.
