        "description": "\nWelcome to pdsimage\n===================\n\nThe Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter  (`LRO`_) mission has gathered some\nfantastic data of the lunar surface  and, thanks to `NASA`_, all are\navailable for free on the internet.\n\nHowever,  using them  can  be  criptic without  a  bit of  experience.\n**Pdsimage** aims  to facilitate the  extraction of knowledge  from two\nset of data gathered by two experiments on board of LRO:\n\n   - The Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimer (`LOLA`_) experiment which\n     collected high resolution topographic data of the lunar surface \n   - The  Lunar  Reconnaissance  Orbiter Camera  (`LROC`_)  experiment\n     which collected  images of the  lunar surface. In  particular, we\n     focus  on Wide  Angle Images  taken  from the  Wide Angle  Camera\n     (`WAC`_)\n\n\nHighlighted features\n------------------------\n\nUnlike  previous python  PDS  library, this  module  allows to  easily\nextract data for arbitrarily sized region at the lunar surface.\n\nIt is particularly suited for  studying geological unit at the surface\nof the  Moon.
