        "description": "======\nPadova\n======\n\n.. image:: https://badge.fury.io/py/padova.png\n    :target: http://badge.fury.io/py/padova\n\n.. image:: https://travis-ci.org/jonathansick/padova.svg?branch=master\n    :target: https://travis-ci.org/jonathansick/padova\n\n.. image:: https://pypip.in/d/padova/badge.png\n    :target: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/padova\n\nPadova is a small python package for working with the so-called `Padova evolutionary tracks <http://stev.oapd.inaf.it/cgi-bin/cmd>`_ produced by Girardi and collaborators.\nPadova is compatible with the `Astropy`_ project.\n\nTake a look at this `Jupyter notebook <http://nbviewer.ipython.org/github/jonathansick/padova/blob/master/notebooks/demo.ipynb>`_ to see what Padova can do.\n\nOf course, please use this project *responsibly*.\nDon't abuse the CMD servers.\n\n\nFeatures\n--------\n\n- Simple interfaces to obtain either single isochrones or grids of isochrones.\n- Validation of settings before requesting data from the CMD servers.\n- Caching of requests so you don't hit the CMD servers when you ask for an isochrone set you already have.\n- Isochrones are provided as `Astropy`_ tables with metadata.\n- Isochrones can be exported for use with `StarFISH`_.\n\n\nInstallation\n------------\n\n    pip install padova\n\n\nDependencies\n------------\n\n- numpy\n- `Astropy`_\n- Requests\n- pytoml\n- setuptools\n\n\nTests\n-----\n\nPadova uses py.test and tox to run tests.
