OpenMOC is a simulation tool for \nsolving for the flux, power distribution, and multiplication factor \nwithin a nuclear reactor. The code employs the deterministic method \nof characteristics, with support for both fixed source and eigenvalue \ncalculations. The OpenMOC project aims to provide a simple-to-use \nPython package bound to a back-end of source code written in C/C++ \nand CUDA. It includes support for constructive solid geometry and 2D \nray tracing for fully heterogeneous multi-group calculations. \nDevelopment of OpenMOC began at MIT in 2012 and is spearheaded by \nseveral graduate students in the \n`Nuclear Science & Engineering Department`_.\n\nComplete documentation on OpenMOC is hosted at \nhttps://mit-crpg.github.io/OpenMOC/.
