        "description": "What mudpyl is\n==============\n\nmudpyl is a pure Python implementation of a MUD client. The aim is to keep the\ncore concepts simple, and give the user the ability to fiddle around with it\nto suit their needs. Therefore, the core of the client is fairly small and\nmodular, with simple interfaces between the parts.\n\nBriefly, the more interesting features are:\n\n    * Regular-expression based triggers and aliases\n    * Trigger-based and fairly safe line rewriting\n    * Macros for almost any keys on the keyboard (including with modifiers)\n    * Execute Python in-client\n    * Coloured HTML logs\n    * Supports MCCP v2\n    * Tab-completion based on words already seen\n    * Keeps a history of previous commands sent\n    * NO strange punctuation-based let's-reinvent-the-wheel programming \n      language included!\n\nInstalling mudpyl\n=================\n\nDecompress and untar the package file, and from the unpacked directory, run::\n\n    python setup.py install\n\nOr, from a shell with ``easy_install`` visible::\n\n    easy_install mudpyl\n\nPyGTK is needed by the gtkgui, which is currently the only GUI avabilable;\nTwisted, ordereddict and argparse are also needed. peak.util.extremes is \nrequired by an optional module.\n\n**NOTE**: mudpyl requires python 2.6. This is because it uses a new feature \nin the stdlib module textwrap. 2.5 installations could, in theory at least, \nuse the textwrap.py file from trunk.\n\nRunning mudpyl\n==============\n\nSee the file QUICKSTART for a tutorial-style guide for connecting to a MUD.\n\nAuthor, copyright and license\n=============================\n\nCopyright Sam Pointon 2007, 2008.
