Maspy is intended as a tool for researchers that allows the\ncombination of different software to generate customized and scriptable data\nprocessing workflows and to enable interactive data analysis with Python.\n\nDocumentation\n-------------\nAn introduction to the underlying concepts of maspy is available at\nhttp://maspy.readthedocs.io\n\nWorkflow examples\n-----------------\nIn order to show how to use maspy we are going to provide examples of simple\ndata analysis workflows.\n\nTest files\n----------\nTest files can be downloaded from\nhttps://github.com/hollenstein/maspy_testfiles\n\nInstallation\n------------\nFor Windows users without Python we recommend installing the\n`Anaconda <https://www.continuum.io/downloads>`_ Python package provided by\nContinuum Analytics.\n\nNOTE: The current release of maspy will soon be submitted to\n`PyPi <https://pypi.python.org/>`_, which allows installation with PIP, as\ndescribed below:\n\nFor installing maspy and its dependencies we recommend using\n`PIP <https://pip.pypa.io/en/stable/installing/>`_.\n\nInstalling maspy from the command line with PIP after the release:\n\n```\npip install maspy\n```\n\nCompatibility\n-------------\nMaspy is developed and tested on Python 2.7 and 3.5.\nTested on Windows (7) and Linux (Debian 8).\n\nLicense\n-------\nmaspy is licensed under the `Apache License 2.0\n<http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0.txt>`_.\n\nThe project contains additional code and files licensed under different\nlicenses.
