This interface and protocol specification lets you do just that!\r\n\r\nCreate the automation scripts of your dreams, and contribute to the growing body of supported programs.\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\nRequirements\r\n============\r\n\r\n| Python 2+\r\n\r\n\r\nUsage\r\n=====\r\n\r\n**The easy way:** \r\n\r\nRun ``pip install --user iac-protocol`` (or omit --user for global install) so pip can download it from PyPI \r\n(may need sudo/root), and go to step 5 on how to use the protocol.\r\n\r\n**The long way:**\r\n\r\n#. Clone the repository.\r\n\r\n#. Run ``python setup.py sdist`` from the project directory to create a\r\n   source distribution.\r\n\r\n#. Run ``pip install --user iac*.tar.gz`` (or omit --user for a global install) from the new ``dist/``\r\n   directory to install the package (may need sudo/root).\r\n\r\n#. Enable an application for automation from the command-line (may need sudo/root):\r\n\r\n   ``iacmodify -s`` to show all available interfaces\r\n   ``iacmodify --enable -a lowriter`` to enable libreoffice writer\r\n\r\n#. Run ``iaci`` from the command-line to play with the interactive interpreter.\r\n\r\n   *or*\r\n\r\n   Run ``iacs`` to quickstart the server.\r\n\r\nTo update the version:\r\n\r\n#. Clone or pull the repository for the latest version.\r\n\r\n#. Recreate the source distribution using the steps above.\r\n\r\n#. Run ``pip upgrade iac*.tar.gz`` from the ``dist/`` directory to\r\n   upgrade the package.\r\n\r\nTo uninstall, run ``pip uninstall iac-protocol``.\r\n\r\nPlease read the official documentation for complete instructions.",
