Mostly, as a Django dev in my other life, I couldn't stomach hacking on\nthe PHP codebase of laddr. So hopefully we can get this app to a place where it\nwill meet our needs and be highly extensible as well.\n\nOf course there are always trade-offs, and, as a Django app, deployment is not\nwhat it could be. But hopefully I can get it hooked up with Herkou and make it\npretty easy to get started.\n\nFeatures include:\n\n  * Project tracking\n  * Members directory\n  * Github integration\n  * Project buzz\n  * Big screen for public events\n\nNot all of these work yet, but we're on way to a 1.0.\n\n\nDeployment\n----------\n\nDeployment of Beehve is done via the ansible roles found in the ansible\ndirectory (tada ...). Usage of these roles is contingent on a few configuration\ndetails:\n\n1. Configure your target hosts in the ansible/hosts file\n2. Copy ansible/hosts_vars/www.example.com ansible/host_vars/www.yourdomain.com\n3. Fill in the details of the host_vars file\n4. Run: ```ansible-playbook -i ansible/hosts --limit production ansible/all.yml```\n\nEasy bootstrapping!\n-------------------\n\nPowered by the ubiquitous Makefile ... this should be pretty easy:\n\n1. make install\n2. make run\n3. open your browser to: http://127.0.0.1:45000\n\nAlternately, you can build a vagrant box, in case you're not on Linux:\n\n1. vagrant up\n\nThat's pretty slick, but will also come with some \"issues\"\n\nLibrarys, librarys, librarys!\n-----------------------------\n\nOf course, we could provide a vagrant file and a provisoner and all \nthat jazz. But I'd rather provide a make file for installing everything\ninto a venv and let you muck about with libraries. Those of you on\nLinux shouldn't have too much trouble installing the requisite development\nlibraries below. The names are for debian-based distros, but they \nexist for all major distros. \n\nOn Mac it may be a little tricker. Homebrew will get you quite far, but\nfirst you have to install the bloated XCode and the CLI tools.\n\nThe libraries are:\n\n  * libmemcached-dev\n  * libfreetype6-dev\n  * libjpeg-dev\n\n",
