In its distributed form Bauble is an application to\r\nmanage plant records and specifically living collections.  It is\r\nused among others by Belize Botanic Gardens to manage their live\r\ncollections.  Included by default is RBG Kew's Family and Genera\r\nlist from Vascular Plant Families and Genera compiled by\r\nR. K. Brummitt and published by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in\r\n1992 used by permission from RBG Kew.\r\n\r\nAll code contained as part of the Bauble package is licenced under\r\nthe GNU GPLv2+.\r\n\r\nTerms and Names\r\n---------------\r\n\r\nThis file describes 'bauble.classic', a standalone\r\napplication. 'bauble.classic' was formerly known just as as\r\n'Bauble'. currently 'Bauble' is the name of an organization on github,\r\nenclosing 'bauble.classic', 'bauble.webapp' and 'bauble.api'.\r\n\r\nthe two new projects 'bauble.webapp' and 'bauble.api' are what you would\r\nfork/download if you want to participate to the development of a web-based\r\nversion of 'Bauble'.\r\n\r\n'bauble.classic' is what you would install if you want to start using\r\n'Bauble' straight away.\r\n\r\nThe database structure of both 'bauble.classic' and the pair\r\n'bauble.webapp/bauble.api' is similar so any data you would insert using\r\n'bauble.classic' will be available once you install a running version of\r\n'bauble.webapp/bauble.api'.\r\n\r\nRequirements\r\n------------\r\nbauble.classic requires the following packages to run.\r\n\r\n* Python (travis-ci checks Bauble against Python 2.6 and 2.7)\r\n* SQLAlchemy (>= 0.6.0, at least up to 1.0.3)\r\n* pygtk (>= 2.12, at least up to 2.24)\r\n* PyGObject (>= 2.11.1, at least up to 2.28.6)\r\n* lxml (>= 2.0)\r\n\r\neach of the following database connectors is optional, but at least one is needed:\r\n\r\n* pysqlite >= 2.3.2\r\n* psycopg2 >= 2.0.5 \r\n* mysql-python >= 1.2.1 \r\n\r\nTo use the formatter plugin you will also need to install an\r\nXSL->PDF renderer.
