        "description": "=========================================================\nSkewTplus -- Atmospheric Profile Plotting and Diagnostics\n=========================================================\n\nSkewTplus provides a few useful tools to help with the plotting and analysis of \nupper atmosphere data. In particular, it provides some useful classes to \nhandle the awkward skew-x projection.\n        \nThis package is based on the SkewT Python package developed by Thomas Chubb\n(https://pypi.python.org/pypi/SkewT/)\n        \nThe main difference with the original *SkewT package* is that the vertical soundings \nplots are handled by a special class (SkewT).\nThe new *SkewT* class extends the base\n`matplolib's Figure <http://matplotlib.org/api/figure_api.html?highlight=figure#module-matplotlib.figure>`_\nclass with an interface similar to \n`matplolib's pyplot <http://matplotlib.org/api/pyplot_api.html>`_.\nIt also allows to create Skew-T type plots in a simple way.\nThis new class allows a complete control over the Figure properties like\nmultiple plots (normal axis and Skew-T axis).\n\nIn addition, the **thermodynamics** module was improved.\nAll the intensive computations were migrated to Cython and paralellized.\n   \nThe SkewT Python package was a cornerstone of this project.  \nWe are grateful to all its collaborators.\n\n\n*Technology builds on technology*\n\nDocumentation\n=============\n\nCheck the documentation at http://www.meteo.mcgill.ca/~aperez/SkewTplus/\n\nDependencies\n============\n\nThe SkewTplus package need the following dependencies\n\n* matplotlib\n* numpy\n* cython (optional)\n* netCDF4\n* six\n* future (python2)\n* hdf4\n* libgcc >=5\n\nFor running the WRF data example:\n\n* Basemap\n\n\n\nInstalling SkewTplus\n====================\n\nPIP install\n-----------\n\nTo install the package using **pip** the numpy package must be already installed.\nIf is not installed, you can install it by running::\n    pip install numpy\n\nAfter the numpy package was installed, to install the SkewTplus package run::\n\n    pip install SkewTplus\n\n\nInstall from source\n-------------------\n\nThe latest version can be installed manually by downloading the sources from\nhttps://github.com/aperezhortal/SkewTplus\n\nTo install the package manually, the numpy package must be already installed.\nIf is not installed, you can install it by running::\n    pip install numpy\n    \nThen, you can install the SkewTplus package executing::\n\n    python setup.py install\n\nIf you want to put it somewhere different than your system files, you can do::\n    \n    python setup.py install --prefix=/path/to/local/dir\n\nIMPORTANT: If you install it using this way, all the dependencies need to be already installed! \n\nConda install\n-------------\n\nIf you are using an anaconda environment, to install the package execute::\n    \n    conda install -c andresperezcba skewtplus\n    \n\nContributions\n===========\n\nSkewTplus is an open source software project.\nContributions to the package are welcomed from all users.\nFeel free to suggest enhancements or report bugs by opening an issue in the github project page: \n\nhttps://github.com/aperezhortal/SkewTplus/issues\n\nThanks for using the SkewTplus package, for any feedback feel free to write to \nandresperezcba AT gmail DOT com\n\n\nCode\n----\n\nThe latest source code can be obtained with the command::\n\n    git clone https://github.com/aperezhortal/SkewTplus.git\n\nIf you are planning on making changes that you would like included in SkewTplus,\nforking the repository is highly recommended.",
