The front-end is *not* needed\r\nin order to use the back-end: the only dependency of the back-end is\r\npython-git.\r\n\r\nIn combination with the back-end service, the front-end may either be compiled to javascript and used on the web or it may be run directly in python for use as a desktop git repository browser.",
