        "description": "\nThis plugin for `PieCrust`_ lets you use `Hoedown Markdown`_ via `Misaka`_ for\nfaster Markdown processing. It's much faster than the default pure Python (but\nmore universal) Markdown formatter that comes by default with PieCrust.\n\nTo install the plugin::\n\n    pip install piecrust-hoedown\n\nThen enable it in your website configuration::\n\n    site:\n      plugins: [hoedown]\n\nYou can specifically use the Hoedown formatter on a per-page basis by adding\n``format: hoedown`` in the page's configuration header, but you might want to\njust make it the default formatter for the whole website::\n\n    site:\n      default_format: hoedown\n      auto_formats:\n        md: hoedown\n\nThe Hoedown formatter should be mostly compatible with the default Markdown\nformatter, in the sense that making it the default formatter as specified above\nshould just work, and would make the website bake faster. However, if you were\nusing Markdown Extensions, there may or may not be any equivalent in Hoedown.\nIn this case, your best bet is to replace ``markdown`` with ``hoedown`` when\ndeclaring the extensions, and see if there's an error about an extension not\nexisting. For instance::\n\n    site:\n      default_format: hoedown\n    hoedown:\n      extensions: [fenced_code, footnotes, smarty]\n\nThe list of `extensions`_ is available on the Misaka documentation.
