JavaScript, from a syntactic viewpoint, is not all that\r\ndifferent from Python and so the literal translation of JavaScript to Python\r\nshould not pose any undue difficulties.\r\n\r\nPython can be made just as safe and secure as Java in terms of keeping hackers\r\naway from the computer the browser runs upon.\r\n\r\nPython offers certain advantages to the construction of a WWW Browser.\r\n\r\nA Python-based Browser might allow contect developers to code C++ Extensions\r\nrather easily especially if Cython were being used.\r\n\r\nA Python-based Browser might allow contect developers to access databases such\r\nas mySQL or SQL Server 2000/2005 right from the web content.\r\n\r\nA Python-based Browser might allow contect developers to deploy compiled or\r\nencrypted Python code via an Egg or Zip file.\r\n\r\nA Python-based Browser might allow contect developers to access any TCP/IP\r\naccessible resource directly from the browser based content.\r\n\r\nLook, we are not saying this would be an overnight process of building a\r\nPython-based browser but we are saying it would be possible and desireable and\r\nwe have all the tools and techniques available to us to allow this sort of thing\r\nto be done.\r\n\r\nAs web based content developers who are also Python developers we are a bit\r\ntired of having to slog our way through JavaScript and how utterly slow it is\r\nwhen compared with the work we can do with Python given the same level of\r\ndevelopment effort.\r\n\r\nAdding reverse-engineered PYPI API - allows Python programmers to reach-out and\r\ntouch their Packages in the PYPI.
